Barbara Lee Stover Short, 66, of Rogers, went to Heaven Feb. 8, 2013, in Rogers. Barbara was born Jan. 8, 1947, in Eureka, Calif., the daughter of Alvin Pierre and Emma Bell Frank French. She moved to Northwest Arkansas at the age of 3. Barbara retired from Glad Manufacturing and was employed at Helping Hands where she enjoyed helping people. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hindsville and a charter member of Lakeside Baptist Church and Piney Point Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to flea markets. She is preceded in death by her first husband Donald Ray Stover and her parents. Survivors include her husband Douglas Short of the home. They were married Feb. 9, 1997. Children include Tom Stover and wife Christa of Centerton; Loyd Stover of Rogers; Stephanie Leo and husband Richard of Rogers; Matt Short and wife Jessica of Rogersville, Mo.; Laura Baksa and husband Tony of Flushing, Mich., and Seth Short and wife Tina of Seneca, Mo.; sisters, Roberta James and husband Jack of Stuart, Fla.;Marilyn Jean Archeleta of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Vol "Sonny" Stover and wife Rhea of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters-in-law Alice Stover Kiaser; Joyce Stover Hutchinson of Rogers and brother-in-law Gary Stover of Mansville, Mo.; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Feb. 11, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Hindsville with Pastor Les Elam officiating. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands.
