Carl Ray Kinsey

Carl Ray Kinsey, 81, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Poteau, Okla., to Bill Kinsey and Hessie (Kersh) Kinsey. He was a retired furniture salesman and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madge Kinsey; one grandson, Justin Springston; and two sisters, Florene Tromblee, Anna Dell Tisdale. He is survived by one daughter, Michele White and husband, Dale, of Springdale, Ark.; one grandson, Garen White of Springdale, Ark.; three sisters, Betty Chaney and husband, Clyde of Fort Smith, Ark., Marie Kendall and husband, Frank of Sapulpa, Okla., Letitia Fruge of Gonzales, La.; one brother, Edward "Hoot" Kinsey and wife, Verne of Fayetteville, Ark.; two brothers-in-law, Ross Tromblee of Lake Eufaula, Okla., Roger Tisdale of Goshen, Ark.; loyal friend, David Wasson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Eden and the Rev. Laurie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Fayetteville. Memorial contributions may be made to Oakland Cemetery Society, 6656 E. Guy Terry Road, Springdale, AR 72764.
