Mahota Shaddox Sills, age 90, of Rogers died peacefully on Feb. 1, 2013, at home. She was born in Byers, Texas, on July 14, 1922, to James Emert and Mattie (Gillem) Williams. She enjoyed cooking and was a member of Southside Church of Christ. Survivors include her children, Tempe Hockenberry and husband, John, of Claremore, Okla., Jan Spears and husband, Harold, of Rogers, Bruce Shaddox and wife, Letha, of Bentonville; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, J.O. Shaddox and Hannis Sills; two brothers; one sister; and a son, James Shaddox Jr. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Chaplain John Pate. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
