Norman Eugene Wiles

Norman Eugene Wiles, age 77, of Knob Noster, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013, at his home. He was born September 4, 1935, in Berryville, the son of Harvey and Delores (Bonner) Wiles. Norman was a 1955 graduate of Elkins High School in Elkins, Arkansas. He then joined and served in the U.S. Air Force, working as a Small Arms Technician & Specialist, where he retired after 22 ? years with rank of Tech Sergeant. Norman also worked for Knob Noster Conoco Gas & Oil and the Whiteman AFB Officer's Club. He was a member of the Knob Noster VFW Post #4195. Norman is survived by two sons: Stephen Wiles and wife Donna of King George, Va.; and Robert Wiles and companion Rachard Daniels of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Sherry Wiles of Warrensburg; one grandson, Justin Wiles and wife LaToya of Hampton, Va.; one great-granddaughter, Jasmine Wiles Jr. of Hampton, Va.; one great-grandson, Justin Wiles Jr. of Hampton, Va.; two brothers, Thurman Wiles and wife Norma Jean; and Sherman Wiles and wife Patsy, all of Elkins, Va.; one sister, Betsy Justus and husband Jim of Elkins, Ark.; two step-sisters: Joyce Jackson of Fayetteville, Ark.; and Wanda Anderson of Prairie Grove, Ark.; three half-sisters: Wilma Wise of Tucson, Ariz., Debbie Madewell of Springdale, Ark., and Joyce Patrick of Springdale, Ark.; one half-brother, Harvey Allen Wiles of Springdale, Ark. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Wiles; his mother and step-father, Deloris and Carl Stout; and his sister, Juanita Wiles. A graveside service will be announced at a later date to be held at Reece Cemetery in Sulpher City, Ark., with full military honors. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Knob Noster VFW Post #4195 and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home, 617 N. Maguire Street, Warrensburg, Mo. 64093.
