Marlene James

Marlene James, 61, of Ozark, Ark., died Dec. 25, 2013, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born July 31, 1952, at Purdy, Ark., the daughter of Raymond Dotson and Dorothy Ethel DuVall Grigg. She was a retired bank teller and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyndell Leon Grigg and Jackie Grigg. Survivors include: her husband, Geral James of the home; two sons, Jarred Rogers of Huntsville, Arkansas and Ryan James of Pea Ridge, Ark.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jamie and Travis Dotson of Huntsville, Ark., and Meisha James of Boonville, Ark.; three brothers, Wimbert Grigg of Huntsville, Ark., David Grigg of Fayetteville, Ark., and Jimmy Grigg of Kingston, Ark.; two sisters, Chloretta Skelton of Decatur, Ark., and Marilyn Bohannan of Clifty, Ark.; seven grandsons, Hayden Dotson of Huntsville, Ark., Ethan James and James, both of Pea Ridge, Ark., Eli Palmour, Josh Palmour, Colton Palmour and Kingston Perdue, all of Boonville, Ark., Luke Carroll and David Carroll, both of Springdale, Ark.; and one granddaughter, Shelby Dotson of Huntsville, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with The Reverend Lonnie Burks officiating. Interment will be in the Kingston Cemetery, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Michael Grigg, Jeremy Grigg, Jacob Grigg, Blake Grigg, Donnie Girgg, Braden Smith Grigg, Les Bohannan, Clayton Tollett, Dustin James and Shannon Howell. Visitation 5-7 p.m. on Friday at Brashears. Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, Susan G. Komen for the Cure or HOPE Cancer Resources.
