Wesley Richard Jacobi, 78, of Rogers passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in Bentonville. He was born Nov. 28, 1935, in Pasadena, Calif., to Edward Frank Jacobi and Leona Rosaline Miller Jacobi. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a self-employed machinist who retired to Northwest Arkansas from California. Although he enjoyed fishing, coaching youth football teams and cooking, his greatest pleasures came from the time shared with his family. While stationed in Germany, he met the love of his life and they were married in Frankfurt, Germany. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn of the home; two daughters, Lori Jacobi (Ben King) and Janet Schoen of California; a son, Perry (Kim) Jacobi of Rogers; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chris) Kerrins, Michael and Baylor King, Allison and Kyle Schoen, all of California, Dylan (Chrissy), Chelsea and Halea Jacobi of Rogers; and two great-grandchildren, Wesley and Michael Kerrins of California. He is also survived by brothers, Don (Peggy) and John Jacobi of California. A visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home, and a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, with burial to follow within National Cemetery in Fayetteville. His twin great-grandsons, Wesley and Michael Kerrins, will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials are suggested to Northwest Arkansas Branch Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 4241 N.
