Cynthia Lee Bradford, loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Cynthia "Cindy" Bradford, 57, of Tontitown, with family and loving friends at her side, died Dec. 15, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark., after a long struggle with Neuroendocrine Carcinoid Tumor Cancer. With her father in the U.S. Air Force, she was born at a Naval hospital July 21, 1956, in Corona, Calif., to Paul James and Darla Graves Davis. Her parents both being from Claremore, Okla., she moved back there with her brother for a time until her father took employment with NASA contractors and moved the family to Titusville, Fla. Her early school-age years were spent there. Following the completion of the Apollo program, the family found its way back to Claremore where Cindy graduated from Claremore High School in 1974. She attended Claremore Junior College and later enrolled in the University of Arkansas. She met her husband there and they were married in 1976. While he finished college, she worked at First National Bank in Fayetteville, Ark. In 1978, she then moved to Little Rock with her husband and shortly after her children were born in 1980 and 1982. In order to stay close to her children, she began work at Pulaski Heights Baptist Preschool. The family relocated to Springdale and she became the preschool director for First Baptist Church there in 1988, retiring from that position after three years. She then turned her full attention to raising her children and became a full-time volunteer in their schools, church and other activities. In a real way, she became a mother to many. Her family was always at the center of her interest. Upon her children leaving home, she found time for additional volunteer activities with her favorite being her work as a counselor at Loving Choices Pregnancy Center in Rogers, Ark. Cindy also cherished her time with a group of ladies she met with regularly for Bible study. She was a member of the "Heart and Soul" Sunday school class and First Baptist Church in Centerton, Ark. To say that she was concerned about the souls of the people she came in contact with was an understatement. For many years, and especially during the last six months of her life, she took advantage of many opportunities to share her devout faith in her Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Bradford, whom she married Aug. 21, 1976; one son, James "Casey" Bradford and wife, Vilay Karen, of Fayetteville; one daughter, Jennifer Leigh Mills and husband, Skyler Jay, of Springdale; her parents, Jim and Darla Davis of Tontitown; one brother, Paul James Davis Jr. and wife, Miriam Grace, of Tontitown; and two grandchildren, Scarlett Isabelle and Levi Holden Mills; nephew, Jeffery Scott Davis and wife, Jamie Shae, of Tontitown; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Centerton, with the Rev. Stuart Bell and the Rev. Cliff Palmer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Memorials may be made to Loving Choices Pregnancy Centers of NWA, 801 S. 7th St., Rogers, AR 72756. Online condolences may be made to www.siscofuneral.com.
