John B. Bunk, 79, died Dec. 8, 2013, in Fayetteville. He was born on June 22, 1934, to the late Mathew and Anna (Labuda) Bunk in Portage, Pa. He was a post Korean War veteran, serving his country in the Army from 1957-1959. He retired in 1999 from Conair Corp., where he was a supervisor. John enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends, playing cards, cooking, playing Polish music and watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns, for whom he was an avid fan. He also loved his dog, Brandy, and two cats, Pepper and Princess. John is survived by his nephews, Robert (Carol) Burke of Rogers, Leo (Laurie) Frost, Jr. of Avoca, Phillip (Sharrie) Frost, Sr. of Pea Ridge, Robert (Lori) Frost of Pea Ridge; nieces, Susan Petree (Richard) of Rogers, Mary Cheryl Taylor of Fayetteville, Carol Taylor of Bella Vista, Terry Healey (Richard) of Rogers and Stacie Ingram (Darrel) of Rogers; sister, Anne Taylor (Paul) of Rogers; best friend, Raymond Hartman of Avoca; and many other great- and great-great-nieces and nephews who were special to him as well. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Bud Taylor; brothers, Jacob Burke and Frank Bunk; sisters, Ann Farren, Helen Wynat, and Catherine Frost. His visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a service at 6:30 p.m. in Rollins Funeral Home chapel.
