Dewey E. Coursey

Dewey E. Coursey of Richardson, Texas, passed away on Nov. 29, 2013. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 at Green Country Funeral Home, Tahlequah, Okla. Joe Layman of New Hope Fellowship Church will be officiating. Visitation was held Tuesday. Burial will follow the funeral at Hendricks Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Green Country Funeral Home. Dewey was born in Black Gum, Okla., on Oct. 13, 1930.  Dewey was married to Joan B. Coursey on Oct. 15, 1983; they were married 30 years. Dewey worked in sales and marketing for many years. He enjoyed golf, fishing and computers.  While they still lived in Springdale, Ark., Dewey was involved in his church, New Hope Fellowship. Dewey is survived by wife, Joan of Richardson, Texas; children, Linda Maxey and husband, Mike, of Oklahoma, Monique Eernisse and husband, John of Texas, step-daughter, Margaret Kizzia and husband, Jerry of Texas, stepson, Stephen Russell and wife, Paige of Florida; grandchildren, Heath and Heather Maxey, Jay and Jason Kizzia, Adam and Seth Russell; brothers, Wilbur and Elmer Coursey; and numerous nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. Dewey is preceded in death by son, David Coursey; brother, Leroy Coursey; and parents, Henry and Sylvia Coursey. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598; or New Hope Fellowship Church, P.O.
