Charlene Reddell

Charlene Reddell, age 60 years, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Charlene was born June 13, 1953, in Mount Judea, Ark., to parents Verlin Cross and Edna Mae (Treat) Cross. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Carl Reddell of the home in Springdale; daughters, Darlene Hathorn and husband, Cecil, of Springdale, Tiffany Dillard and husband, T.J., of Springdale; three grandchildren, Justin Hathorn and wife, Courtney, of Lowell, Ark., Katie Snelson of Springdale and Austin Dillard of Hindsville, Ark.; five sisters, Joyce Eddings and husband, Ivon, of Jasper, Ark., Shirley Ewing and husband, Mac, of Jasper, Ark., Ava Brett of Huntsville, Ark., Doris Young of Western Grove, Ark., and Linda Reddell of Hindsville, Ark.; two brothers, Joe Cross and wife, Rona, of Jasper, Ark., and Jairl Cross of Everton, Ark. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. She loved to serve her Lord and Savior, and loved her family and working with her husband. She was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God for 45 years. She was also a Sunday school teacher at the church. She worked in the food service department for Springdale Public Schools since 2006. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ark. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, Springdale, Ark., with Pastor Jeff Hutcheson and the Rev. James Hathorn officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery, Springdale, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265.
