Nina Lucille Schmiel

Nina Lucille Schmiel, 93, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, in Springdale. She was born May 4, 1920, in Little Falls, Minn., the daughter of Garland and Margaret Render Butler. She was of the Baptist Faith; a gentle, gracious lady and a free spirit. Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Schmiel; two sisters, Margaret Ostengard and Dorothy Haas; one brother, James Butler. Mrs. Schmiel had lived in West Fork, Ark., for 20 years before retiring to Butterfield Trail Village. Survivors include several nieces and nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville with Granville Wynn officiating.
