James 'LeRoy' Baker

James "LeRoy" Baker, age 74, of Rogers, Ark., and formerly of Tulsa, Okla., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at the Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Springdale, Ark. LeRoy was born in Larue, Ark., on March 6, 1939, to Clark and Neoma (Richards) Baker. He served his country in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. LeRoy loved spending time with his family and especially his grandkids and he will be missed very much. Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Finley, Melvin, and Arlen Baker; three sisters, Reba Humphrey, Loueva Johansen, and Leona "Tootsie" Baker; LeRoy is survived by one son, Sean Baker of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Julia Kristen (Baker) Shelton and husband, Chad, of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, JM Baker and wife, Virginia, of Rogers; JD Baker and wife, Linda, of Colorado; one sister-in-law, Wanda Baker of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, TiShauna, Anishia, and BJ DaCosta; Stephanie and James Whitfield "Whit" Baker; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Celebration of Life services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (12845 Walnut Valley Road) Rogers, Ark. Inurnment will be at Bland Cemetery, Rogers, Ark.
