Corene S. Read

Corene S. Read, 80, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Aug. 19, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1933, in Cane Hill, Ark., the daughter of James Walter and Stella Matthews Grant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Read; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sisters, Maudie Phillips and Ellavie Dallas; three sisters-in-law, Nina Grant, Margie Grant and Mary Grant; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, 10 a.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
