Eddie L. Parker, 69, of Bella Vista passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born in Arbyrd, Mo., on March 29, 1944, to the late Ernest and Julia Callahan. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister in infancy. Eddie operated his own photography studio, was an Arkansas state corrections officer, he worked for Walmart and was proud of his role in helping establish Cancer Challenge in Northwest Arkansas. Although an avid fisherman, he enjoyed gardening, a good joke and above all the time together with his family. He is survived by two brothers, Terry Parker of Michigan and Lyman Parker of Tennessee; two sons, Keith Parker of Rogers and Jeff Parker of Bentonville; four daughters, Robin Hardy of Bella Vista, Tammy (Joseph) Johns of Briggsville, Ark., Jennifer (Ed) Peralta of Georgia, Wendy (Joshua) Cryder of Virginia and Marie Miousse of Quebec, Canada, who joined the family as an exchange student. Survivors also include 14 grandchildren, Wesley Hardy, Elizabeth Hardy, Dixie Johns, Clayton Johns, Jennifer Peralta, Megan Peralta, Jillian Peralta, Haley Shook, Spencer Parker, Jesse Crabb, Isabella Peralta, Colton Mayo, Olivia Peralta and Marco Peralta; and a great-granddaughter, Adrienne Hardy. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 16, from 6-8 p.m., and a funeral celebration of his life will be Saturday, Aug. 17, 11 a.m. in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home.
