Ruby Inez Wolf

Ruby Inez Wolf, 80, of Van Buren, Ark. (formerly of Fayetteville, Ark) passed away peacefully in her sleep and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, in Fort Smith. She was born in June 13, 1933, in Brinkley, Ark. to the late Andrew J. and Martha Louise Terry. She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Wolf; and her mother and father. Ruby was a Southern Baptist and longtime member of University Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Ark. She was a retired Mary Kay beauty consultant and was very accomplished in her profession, earning a car from the company. A proud and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin, Ruby loved her extended family very much. She was an outstanding cook and loved to host large dinners for her family and her "secret recipe" for frying catfish was the envy of all. She loved to sing, fish and travel as well as crocheting and other arts and crafts. Ruby was a patriot who loved our country very much and was especially proud of her son's decades of military service in the U.S. Army Special Forces. Ruby is survived by her son, Master Sgt. (Ret.) Ronald J. Smith and wife, Tammy, of St Joseph, Mo.; daughter, Sandra K. Sapp and husband, Daniel, of Fort Smith; daughter, Pamela R. Posey and husband, Brad, of Mountainburg, Ark.; two sisters, Peggy Goodgion of Jonesboro, Ark., and Gladys Walker and husband, Jimmy Dale, of Kinsett, Ark.; one brother, James Terry and wife, Wanda, of Searcy, Ark.; 10 grandchildren, Lorea Scheffer and husband, Jeff, of Wichita, Kan., Austin Smith of Wichita, Kan., Wendy Hartman and husband, Brian, of Wichita, Kan., Buck Mills of Fort Smith, Ark., Kim Pittman of Cedarville, Ark., Bradley Posey of Van Buren, Ark., Zachary Posey of Van Buren, Ark., Hannah Posey of Conway, Ark., David Hatfield of St. Joseph, Mo., and Keytra Hatfield of St. Joseph, Mo.; 11 great-grandchildren, Gabriel Scheffer of Wichita, Kan.; Logan Hartman of Wichita, Kan.; Anna Hartman of Wichita, Kan.; Alec Hartman of Wichita, Kan.; Brandon Mills of Conrad, Calif.; Caitlyn Mills of Greenwood, Ark.; Jeremy Pittman of Fort Smith, Ark.; Cheyenne Pittman of Fort Smith, Ark.; Kyndra Pittman of Fort Smith, Ark., Alesha Pittman of Fort Smith, Ark., and Alleysia Hatfield of St. Joseph, Mo. Pallbearers will be Austin Smith, Bradley Posey, Zachary Posey, Jeremy Pittman, Logan Hartman and Jeff Scheffer. Honorary pallbearers will be Buck Mills, Brandon Mills, Alec Hartman and Gabriel Scheffer. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2013, at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel, 917 Hwy. 64 E., Alma, Ark. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 1728 E. Mission Blvd., Fayetteville, Ark. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 13, 2013, at the funeral home.
