Royce Benny 'Sam' Howard

Royce Benny "Sam" Howard, 53, of Centerton, graduate of Rogers High School, died Aug. 6, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born Feb. 12, 1960, in Springdale to Roy H. and Ruby Rush Howard. Sam was employed with Sivalls Inc. He served in the United States Navy during the Iran Hostage Crisis. He loved to golf, go fishing, hiking and taking pictures. He enjoyed being a grandpa and living in the mountains of Montana with his Buckwheat. He is survived by his parents Roy and Ruby Howard of Springdale, his wife Debra Foster Howard of Centerton, four sons; Travis Howard and wife Amanda of Hamilton, Mont., Mitchell Howard and wife Susana of Colorado Springs, Colo., Marcus Petrey and Marten Schields, both of Hamilton, Mont.; brother, Bill Howard and wife Karen of Cave Springs; sister, Patty Walker and husband Allen of Jay, Okla.; four grandchildren, Sophia, 9, Ella, 6, Anna, 4, Leila, 4, and numerous nieces and nephews.
