Edward M. Dzalak Sr.

Edward Martin Dzalak Sr., 88, of Rogers passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, in Bentonville. He was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Stephan H. Dzalak and Monica Franz Dzalak. He proudly served his country during WWII in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters as a merchant marine. After the war, he was employed by North American Aviation in California for many years before retiring from North American Rockwell's Atomics International Division and moving to Northwest Arkansas. He was a 32nd-degree Mason, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 55 years, Araminta Dzalak; a son, Edward Martin Dzalak Jr. of Arizona; two daughters, Ellie Marie Skolaut of Missouri and Stephanie Lynn Dzalak of Rogers; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Masonic services and inurnment will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
