McKinley 'Mac' J. Warnell

McKinley "Mac" J. Warnell, 75, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at the Circle of Life Hospice House, Legacy Village, Bentonville, Ark. He was born Feb. 5, 1938. Mac was raised and educated in Iowa, graduating from Marshalltown High School in 1957. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He lived in Denver most of his life working as a draftsman and sales rep for a lighting company. He moved to Milwaukee in 1988 working for several different lighting companies. His last job was the international sales director for SPI Lighting, retiring in 2000. He moved to Bella Vista in 2005. Mac loved sailing and kayaking, and was an avid golfer and painter. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and seven brothers. He is survived by his wife, Bev Unis of Bella Vista, Ark.; son, Robin Warnell of Aurora, Colo.; daughter, Laurie Bissonette of Reno, Nev.; two stepsons, CJ Unis of Albuquerque, N.M., and Alex Unis of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Forest Hills Baptist Church in Bella Vista, Ark., Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark., and the American Cancer Society.
