Kathleen Mary Harding Franz

Kathleen Mary Harding Franz, 92, known to her friends as "Mollie," passed away peacefully on Aug. 1, 2013. Born 1921 in Durham, England, Mollie immigrated to America at age five. A graduate of Purdue University, Mollie met the love-of-her-life, Franklin Ernest Franz at Purdue's Glee Club, where they were both members. They were married on June 20, 1942, and remained so until Frank's passing in July of 2000. Mollie loved singing, gardening, cooking and played a mean hand of bridge. She had a lively spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Mary Patz and Wendy Franz; her grandsons, Mark Robert Patz and Sean Jaffee Rohde; and her great-granddaughter, Katherine Rose Patz. A Celebration of Life will take place 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 224 N.E. Ave., Fayetteville, Ark. 72701. A reception will be held at St. Paul's directly after the service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations "In Memory of Kathleen Franz" to the Friends of Music at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
