Harry E. Long

Harry Eldon Long of Highfill, Ark., passed away peacefully April 24, 2013, at 5:25 p.m. Born Oct. 10, 1934, to Aubrey and Sybil Long, he was a graduate of Gentry High School. Harry served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957 as a specialist during the Suez Canal Incident. He was preceded in death by both parents, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. He is survived by one brother, four children, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Harry was a fruit farmer, private pilot, motorcyclist, real estate agent, truck driver and all-around great guy. He had a kind and loving heart and a wonderful spirit that will be missed. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3800 W. Walnut in Rogers, Ark., with Brother Pat Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow at the same location. The family will greet friends 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, also at the same location.
