Opal M. Stingley

Opal M. Stingley, 91, of Springdale, died April 8, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born Dec. 1, 1921, in Springdale to William and Mary Horn Cooper. She was retired from Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Union. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Springdale and served on the Session. She was a longtime volunteer at the Jones Center and was active in the Race for the Cure as a breast cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Stingley; parents; brothers, Ralph, Dale and Gordon; and sister, Evelyn McKee. She is survived by her son, Charles Sprinkel of Little Rock; grandchildren, Lance Sprinkel and wife, Carrie of Bella Vista and Stephanie Sprinkel of Bentonville; and great-grandchildren, Peyton Sprinkel, Tiffany Knappenberger and Chelsea Perryman.
