Grace Weaver

Grace Weaver, 78, of Springdale, entered her eternal rest on April 13, 2013, in Springdale. She was born on May 24, 1934, in Wileys Cove, Ark., to Ephraim Jackson and the Rev. Nora Crace Hammons. She married Gerald "Curley" Weaver on Dec. 13, 1953, in Marshall, Ark. They were married 47 years until Curley's death in 2001. Grace was a property manager for NCHP, Dewar Properties and managed HUD properties for Ozark Guidance Center for 30 years until her retirement. She was recipient of numerous professional awards. Grace was a member of the Property Management Association and Valley View Baptist Church in Eureka Springs, Ark. Grace is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald "Curley" Weaver; two sisters, Josephine Anderson and Mary Bihl; a brother, Noah Hammons; and a grandson, Gregory Oxner. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Deborah Oxner and her husband, Marco of Lincoln and Sheila Sullivan of Eureka Springs; a brother, Wendell "Tommy" Hammons of Tulsa, Okla.; grandson, Mark Oxner of Wichita, Kans.; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. Inurnment will be at McDaniel Cemetery in Snowball, Ark.
