John W. Lawrence

John W. Lawrence, age 76, of Centerton passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice in Bentonville. John was born in Springville, Tenn., on Aug. 13, 1936, to Johnny Carroll and Viola (Kannady) Lawrence. On Sept. 17, 1960, John married Estalee Harris in Colorado and they were married for over 52 years before his death. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge. John worked as a public accountant for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerton. John enjoyed woodworking and painting art work, photography, genealogy and he loved spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kerry Lee Lawrence; and one brother, J.C. Lawrence; John is survived by his wife, Estalee Lawrence of the home; three sons, Michael Jon Lawrence of Centerton, Willie Roger Lawrence and wife, Cyrstal, of Centerton, John C. Lawrence of Centerton; one brother, Arthur Lawrence and wife, Janet, of Colorado; six grandchildren, Ryan, Krystal, Sara, Ashley, Caleb and Catelyn; five great-grandchildren, Lynna, Kary, Kyra, Brylee and Scarlett; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home (3800 W. Walnut) in Rogers. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at First Baptist Church (351 W. Centerton Blvd.) in Centerton, with Cliff Palmer officiating.
