Sloan Allison Schnell

Sloan Allison Schnell, 26 of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on April 6, 2013 due to a tragic accident. Sloan was born on February 17, 1987 in Danbury, Conn. She was the daughter of Sammye and Jeff Schnell, the sister of Spencer and Emma, and the granddaughter of Sam and Betty Sloan and Howard and Ann Schnell. Her aunts and uncles include Sterling and Dena Sloan, Cynthia and Michael Turner, Brian and Kim Schnell, and Natalie and Geoff Hetrick. Mary Francis Westhoven (U.S. Army Retired), Katie Fischer, Andrew Fischer, Tyler Schnell, Ally Schnell, Jackson Schnell, Harper Schnell, and Jeffrey Turner are Sloan's cousins. She graduated from Dublin Scioto High School and The Ohio State University. Sloan was employed at Iacono's in Powell, Ohio. Ms. Schnell was a strong advocate for increasing awareness about the symptoms of and methods of treatment for eating disorders. The visitation will be at the Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 W. Olentangy Street, Powell, Ohio 43065 (614) 792-1471 on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Jerome United Methodist Church, 10531 Jerome Road Jerome, Ohio 43064, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dave Cady officiating. Interment will take place at the Newberry Chapel Cemetery in Rudy, Ark.
