Kenneth 'Pete' Hickman

Kenneth "Pete" Hickman, 82, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Concordia Health & Rehab in Bella Vista. He was born on Dec. 22, 1930, in Mercer County, Mo., to Herbert Hickman and Ellen Lowe Hickman. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired to Bella Vista in 1994 from Bayer Corporation in Kansas City, Mo. He worked for the POA for over five years. He was a member of the Wood Carvers Club, lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, Aarratt, Shriners and the Bella Vista Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Verla Hickman of Bella Vista; two daughters, Jeanne Morton of Bella Vista, Ark., Tammy Lynn Kempf and husband, Greg, of Liberty, Mo.; one brother, James Hickman; two sisters, Carolyn Dickerson and husband, Max, Nadine Newnham; brother-in-law, J.R. Stottlemeyer; four grandchildren; and also survived by the Benson side of the family. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
