Thomas Jerome 'Tommy' Sayres

Thomas Jerome "Tommy" Sayres, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was 53 years old. Open visitation will be Wednesday, April 3 at Holt Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4 at Holt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Eden and Billy Eden officiating. Burial will be in Plumlee Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bob Barenberg, Larry Savage, Dale Sayres, Jessie Dryer, Jesse Caudle and Eugene Young. Honorary pallbearers are Matt Langley, William "Denny" Sayres, Vance Sayres, Jackson Langley, all his truck driving friends and all truck drivers. The son of William F. Sayres and Mary (Rains) Remington was born on March 21, 1960, in Wichita, Kan. Tommy loved truck driving and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially loved all of his grandchildren. He went to Revival Tabernacle in Springdale. His father, grandparents and step-father, Andy Remington preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Wanda (Lyons) Sayres; two sons, Aaron Sayres and Matt Langley; two daughters, Tara Sayres and Jennifer Barenberg; four brothers, Dale Sayres, William Sayres, Vance Sayres and Edwin Remington; four sisters, Daphyne Douglas, Hope Young, Melissa Alge and Dolly Roth; and nine grandchildren, Janessa Langley, Jordan Barenberg, Jackson Langley, Annabelle Langley, Kayven Sayres, Jessara Baskin, Anna Baskin, Myia Baskin and Gabriella Baskin.
