Stephen Owen Moore

Stephen Owen Moore, 61, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born Aug. 12, 1951, in Seattle, Wash. He worked for SourceGas for over 34 years and was looking forward to retirement and traveling. He was a member of C.A.S.I. and entered many area chili cook-offs and enjoyed seeing old friends at these events. He loved his wife, his children and his mother dearly, and cherished every moment he had with them. Steve will truly be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. He was preceded in death by one brother. Steve is survived by his wife, Sherry Lynn Moore; one son, Steve Moore and wife, Meredith, of North Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter, Wendy Phillips and husband, B.J., of Bentonville, Ark.; stepson, George E. Haynes and wife, Dawn, Wasilla, Alaska; mother, Norma Erickson of Moses Lake, Wash.; six grandchildren, Gavin Moore, Mia Moore, Grayson Moore, Mackenzie Phillips, Noah Haynes and Elijah Haynes; and many co-workers and friends. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Memorials may be made in honor of Stephen Moore to the American Cancer Society, Center for Nonprofits-St. Mary's, 1200 W. Walnut, Suite 2313, Rogers, AR 72756. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryant, Ark., at a later date.
