Alice Duncan, 90, of Rogers died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born March 25, 1922, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was chief ward administrator for the VA Hospital in Columbia, Mo., for many years. She was an artist, played piano and organ, and had a zest for learning. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Rogers and had a great love for her Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Kenneth Duncan, who was the love of her life; one son, Richard David Ney; and one brother, Frank Barth. Survivors are two daughters, Melodi Fischgrabe and husband, Duane, of Rogers, and Hope Strickland and husband, Duane, of Indianapolis, Ind.; three sons, Walter Ney and wife, Jan, of Bella Vista, Gregory Ney and wife, Kate, of Bluffton, S.C., and Derek Ney of Clearwater, Fla.; one brother, William Barth of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her faithful companion, "Corky," her Welsh Corgi. Cremation arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, 3 p.m. at Whitney Mountain Chapel in Garfield, with Brother Mike Sypult officiating.
