Ruby Lucille Stephenson

Ruby Lucille Stephenson, 80, formerly of Springdale, Ark., died Sept. 17, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Springfield, Mo. Born Sept. 2, 1932, in Lincoln, N.M., she was the daughter of Earl Rutherford and Trula Ford Rutherford. She was a sewing machine operator for Lazy-Boy in Siloam Springs prior to her retirement. She was a volunteer for Northwest Arkansas Medical in Springdale. Mrs. Stephenson was a member of First Baptist Church, Siloam Springs, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Stephenson; one son, Michael Alan Stephenson; two brothers, Bill and Mac Rutherford; and one sister, Lula Mae. Survivors include Jessie, her Pomeranian; two daughters, Terrie Vanderboom and husband, Gene, of Springfield, Mo., and Karen Sprinkles and husband, Charlie, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Kelchner of Springdale, Ark. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, with Dr. Steve Abbott officiating.
