Marion A. Whitaker

Marion A. Whitaker, 90, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, in Fayetteville. She was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Lawrence, Mass., to Alfonce Daigle and Roseanna (Roberge) Daigle. She was a retired seamstress and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. She is survived by two sons, David Houle and wife, Maureen, of Connecticut, Jospeh Houle and wife, Nancy, of North Carolina; one daughter, Lucy Labowsky and husband, Michael, of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Pauline Sarto of Massachusetts; one brother, Harvey Daigle and wife, Gertrude; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 6 until 7 p.m., with a communion service beginning at 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Fayetteville.
