Edith Virginia Hardy, 91, of Pea Ridge died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Concordia Care Center of Bella Vista. She was born July 28, 1921, in Pea Ridge to Sterling Price Patterson and Emma Nita Martin Patterson. She was a lifetime resident of Pea Ridge, graduating from Pea Ridge High School in 1939 as valedictorian. She was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and her family. She assisted her husband in home building for many years. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, and is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred Hardy in 1998; three sisters, Marilda "Tillie" Suttle, Lucille Gordon and Emma Hutcheson; three brothers, Floyd Patterson, Chester Patterson and Dean Patterson. Survivors are two daughters, Judy Wilkerson, and Jerry and Beverly Jones, all of Pea Ridge; two sisters, Betty Plackett of Meridian, Idaho, and Joy Gabbard of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Wesley and Sheila Wilkerson, Greg Wilkerson, Michael and Laura Jones, and Jennifer Jones; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral is set for Wednesday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge, with Pastor Charlie Newman officiating. Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is set for Tuesday, Sept. 18, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care given by the staff at Concordia Care Center and the Washington Regional Hospice.
