Charles Amadee Balsley, Jr.

Charles Amedee Balsley Jr., 63, of Springdale died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Regency Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born Aug. 17, 1949, in Uniontown, Pa., to Charles Amedee Balsley Sr. and Elizabeth Weltner Balsley. Charles served in the United States Air Force for 30 years. He served in the Vietnam Conflict and the Gulf War. After retiring from the service, Charles went to work for the Department of Labor working in the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program. He continued this line of work for Tyson Foods. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Nash Balsley, of the home; one son, Matthew Balsley of Augusta, Ga.; one brother, James Balsley of Williamsburg, Va.; several nieces; and one nephew. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Steven Colwell officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Fayetteville with Military Honors. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
