Dorothy Mae Steinocher, age 85, of Rogers, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born in Mechanicsville, Iowa, on May 10, 1927, to the late Harold and Libby (Hartman) Longerbeam. Dorothy was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Bentonville, and she enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, bingo and visiting the casino. Survivors include her children, Tom Steinocher and wife, Janet, of Frisco, Texas, Jim Steinocher of Austin, Tex., Linda Mixson and husband, Carroll, of Manor, Texas, David Steinocher and Rose Reinhardt of Grass Lake, Mich., Rick Steinocher of Euless, Texas, Lisa Becker and husband, Terry, of Rogers; sister, Betty Edwards of Fulton, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, John Steinocher; brother, Lloyd Longerbeam; and brother-in-law, Richard Edwards. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, in the Chapel at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Bentonville, with Monsignor Scott Marczuk officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, with recitation of the rosary beginning at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers. Interment will be at a later date in Iowa. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, should be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762, in appreciation for their care during Dorothy's illness.
