Sarah Margaret Camp Wallace Gladden

Sarah Margaret Camp Wallace Gladden of Gravette died Sept. 13, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born Dec. 26, 1940, to W. Schelly Camp and Louise Self Camp. The family moved to Springdale in 1945, where they owned and operated Camp's Clothing Stores. Sarah graduated from Springdale High School in 1958. She played in the band, she was in the senior play and was voted "most versatile" in the graduating class. She was in the Springdale Riding Club. Sarah worked in real estate in both Hope and Rogers. She graduated from Fayetteville Business College, then she married Darrell Wallace, Jan. 29, 1960. Darrell's career took them to Hope, Ark.; after his death she returned to Springdale, then Rogers and Gravette to be near her sons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; a daughter, Darlene Wallace Smith; her parents; and one brother, Warren Camp. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Wallace and wife, Suzie, of Gravette, and Frank Wallace and wife, Lise Wentz; her stepmother, Fran Underhill; one sister, Jane Pianalto; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Judy Van Hoose officiating. Burial will be in Silent Grove Cemetery in Springdale. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be the Springdale High School graduating Class of 1958.
