Julia Perkins Brown

Julia Perkins Brown, 91, of Springdale died Sept. 12, 2012, at North Hills Life Care and Rehab. She was born Oct. 9, 1920, to Willie B. and Augusta Perkins of Clarks, La. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold William Brown of Minden, La.; and two brothers, Charles L. Perkins of Atlanta, Ga., and Willie B. Perkins of Winsboro, La. She was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church in Minden, La. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Brown Christensen of Springdale; and two sons, Charles Lee Brown of Celebration, Fla., and Philip William Brown of Conway, Ark.; eight grandchildren, including Dr. Rebecca Lucke of Fayetteville; and 14 great-grandchildren. A private service for family and friends will be held on Sept. 22, 2012, in Fayetteville. Memorials can be made to Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
