Ethel M. Cooper

Ethel M. Cooper, 83, died Sept. 9, 2012, in Bella Vista. She was born in Hillsdale, Tenn., on Aug. 28, 1929, to the late Jessie and Famelia A. (Woodard) West. Ethel graduated from Weston High School, Weston, Mo., and business college in St. Joseph, Mo. She did secretarial work in Kansas City for 27 years. After marrying Del Cooper on March 3, 1972, they lived in Kansas City until retiring, then moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1979. She was a member of Bella Vista Community Church and volunteered at the Bella Vista Library for 10 years. She is preceded in death by her husband; three brothers; four sisters; and a stepdaughter. She is survived by her brother, Roscoe West and wife, Juanita, in Leavenworth, Kan.; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family, Coleen Kinsella and Phil Strine; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at the Bella Vista Community Church. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home.
