Susan Lea Carroll

Susan Lea Carroll, 55, of Mustang, Okla., passed away Sept. 11, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born July 10, 1957, in Pleasant Hill, Mo., to Paul E. McFerron and Patsy McFerron. Susan married Bill Carroll on April 12, 1974, in the Barren Community, Okla. Susan has been a loving wife, devoted mother and Grammy. She was a dedicated employee for Weight Watchers for 28-plus years. Susan loved the beach, cooking, reading, playing games and watching football with the family. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Moore First Baptist Church in Moore, Okla. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul E. McFerron. Survivors include husband, Bill Carroll of the home; one daughter, Melissa Bryant and husband, Jason, of Alva, Okla.; one son, Mark Carroll of Mustang, Okla.; mother, Patsy McFerron of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Cyndee Pillow and husband, Charles, of Kansas, Okla., Carolyn Philpott and husband, Steve, of Gentry, Ark.; Kellie McFerron of Siloam Springs, Ark.; five brothers, Brian McFerron and wife, Alice, of Fayetteville, Ark., Paul G. McFerron of Lake Hudson, Okla., the Rev. George McFerron and wife, Donna, of Siloam Springs, Ark., Patrick McFerron and wife, Carrie, of Gentry, Ark., Curtis McFerron and wife, Barbara, of Anderson, S.C.; two grandchildren, Riley Bryant and Dru Bryant of Alva, Okla.; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, Sept. 15, from noon-2 p.m. at the Gum Springs Baptist Church near Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Gum Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. George McFerron officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark.
