Patricia Kay Franke

Patricia Kay Franke, 65, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in Tulsa, Okla. She was born July 6, 1947, in Prairie Grove, Ark., to Albert Bivens and Nellie (Hooten) Bivens. She was a member of First Christian Church in Fayetteville, the Jaycettes, transplant support groups and Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency. After her heart transplant in 1996, she enjoyed speaking to different groups to promote transplant awareness and organ donation. She is survived by her husband, Walter B. Franke; one daughter, Jennifer Westphal and husband, Cliff, of Bella Vista, Ark.; one sister, Rita Huff of Shell Knob, Mo.; and one grandson, Nathaniel Westphal of Bella Vista, Ark. She is also survived by one niece and three nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
