Alfred Kreder, 87, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. He was born on Dec. 14, 1924, in Mussig, Alsace, France, to Louis Kreder and Victoria Yehl Kreder. He moved to Sulphur Springs, Ark., from Davis, Ill. He was a member of Grace Meadows Fellowship in Maysville, Ark. He is survived by his wife, Martha L. Kreder of Sulphur Springs, Ark.; one son, Virgil L. Kreder (Dorothy) of Port Washington, Wis.; one daughter, Shirley Dodds (Terry) of Davis, Ill.; stepson, Norman E. Barnett (Rebecca) of Surprise, Ariz.; stepdaughters, Rhonda L. Barnett of Sulphur Springs, Ark., April D. Essex (Bill) of Westminster, Colo.; sisters, Elise Picoche of Paris, France, Colette Smith (Harold) of Byron, Ill.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Grace Meadows Fellowship in Maysville, Ark., with Pastor Bill Query officiating. Burial will be at Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
