William Carroll Fielding

William Carroll Fielding, 79, of Lowell passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, in his home. He was born Sept. 27, 1932, in Rogers, the son of James Virgil and Lassie Leota Fields Fielding. Carroll, Erma and family owned and operated Fielding Station and Grocery since 1970. He was a member of Monte Ne Baptist Church and enjoyed hard work, family gatherings, helping others and nature. He is preceded in death by one son, Bernard Dwayne Fielding; one sister, Virginia Colville; two brothers, Minter and Millard Fielding. He is survived by his wife, Erma Faye Whitley Fielding of the home; children, Janice Lane of Springdale, Shelia Parsons and husband, Corbett Phillips of Rogers, Gwyn Gregory and husband, James of Lowell, Judith Valentine and companion, Paul Brush of Avoca, and Sona Helmick and husband, Randy, of Lowell; sisters, Dena Tipton of Rogers, Wilma Obenshain of Clifty and Joyce Whitley and husband, Bob of Rogers; grandchildren, Jared, Ryan, Reid (Courtney) and Kaci Lane; Gary Wayne, Nick, Dustin (Stacy), Bobby (Christy) and Scotty Parsons; Justin (Natalie), Jeremy (Shelley), Michael and Jenna Gregory; Jordan (Clay), Rankin and Kirby Valentine; Garrett and Tyler Helmick; great-grandchildren, Luke, Trent, Jasmine, Payton, Eli and Zeke Parsons; Avery, Tucker, Rylee and Sydney Lane; Emma Claire Gregory. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Benton County Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Agee officiating. Interment will follow in the Clifty Cemetery.
