Linda Lee Shaw

Linda Lee Shaw, 65, lost her determined two-year battle with cancer on Sept. 5, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Born Feb. 14, 1947, in Kenosha, Wis., she was the daughter of Walter and Erna (Richter) Stein. Linda attended Roosevelt Elementary, Lincoln Junior High, and was a member of the first graduating class of Tremper High school in 1965. She graduated from the Racine College of Cosmetology, and was a beautician at local salons, including Esther's Beauty Salon in Kenosha. On Oct. 1, 1966, she was united in marriage to Jerry Shaw at Immanuel Methodist Church in Kenosha, Wis. They later retired to Bella Vista, Ark., where she continued to reside until her passing. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, reading as much as possible, listening to music, playing with her grandson and helping others through Stephen Ministries. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jerry; her two children, Jonathan Shaw of Bella Vista, Ark., and Bethany (Matthew) Perri of Bristol, Wis., and her grandson, Jackson Perri. She is further remembered by her sister, Lorraine (Richard) Firchow of Kenosha, Wis.; her sister-in-law, Delores Knigge of Lake Zurich, Ill.; five nieces; five great-nieces and two great-nephews; three great-great-nieces; and countless friends whose lives she never ceased to touch. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Erna Stein. A memorial service and private interment will be held on Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. at United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista, Ark. A remembrance gathering will be held at a later date in Bristol, Wis. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.
