Jonathan 'Johnny' Tyler Mitchell
Jonathan "Johnny" Tyler Mitchell, 20, of Rogers passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.
Jonathan was a 2010 graduate of Rogers Public Schools and a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard. As a child, Jonathan idolized Batman and Barney. He loved animals, soccer, video games and skateboarding. Jonathan enjoyed the music of Eminem and hoped himself to be a rapper.
Jonathan is survived by his wife, Rebecca Mitchell and son, Braydon Mitchell of the home; his mother, Shona Mitchell of Rogers; grandparents, Russell and Marilyn Moss of Rogers; one uncle and aunt, TJ and Lea Ann Moss of Rogers; two cousins, Chloe and Cameron Moss of Rogers; and one great-grandmother, Pat Nelson of Pierce City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Mitchell; and by both paternal grandparents, Morris Mitchell and Oneta Marshall. He was also preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Joe Nelson.
A celebration of Jonathan's life will take place at the Grace Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark., at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6. Friends and family are encouraged to attend to share memories of Jonathan and the impact that he made on their life.
