Jerry Wayne Preston

Jerry Wayne Preston, age 62, of West Fork, passed through Heaven's gate Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, in Fayetteville. He was born Nov. 30, 1949, in Fayetteville to Earvle A. (Dub) and Verna Mae Slaughter Preston. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Preston. He was a member of Winslow Church of Christ. He is survived by his brother, Troy Preston and his wife Debbie of West Fork, Ark.; sister-in-laws, DiAnna Preston of Winslow, Leona Evans and Bonnie Liggett of McPherson, Kan.; nephew, Andrew Preston of West Fork, Ark; nieces, Laura Cameron of West Fork, Ark.; Sherry Cameron of Bella Vista; Angela Batson of Springdale; great-nephews, Ethan Cameron of West Fork; Isaiah Aquaah of West Fork; Christian Cobb and Brendon Sharp of Bella Vista; Morgan Liggett of McPherson, Kan.; great-niece, Rachel Anderson of Fayetteville and all of the special children who grew up around Jerry. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 5, 2012, at Coil Cemetery near Winslow under the direction of Moore's Chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Preston, Ethan Cameron, Johnny Reed, Eric Underhill, Heath Teague and Ron Sidebottom.
