George M. Skirvin

George Marion Skirvin, 79, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at the Little Rock V.A. Hospital. George was born on Jan. 17, 1933, in Elsberry, Mo., a son of Leverat Alvin Skirvin and Sarah Ellen Brant Skirvin. He married Jo Ann Netherton on Aug. 16, 1955, in Springdale, who preceded him in death. He was a retired diesel mechanic and an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He is survived by two sons, Bobby and Ricky Skirvin of Springdale; two daughters, Pam McGinnis of Elkins and Stephanie Lawson of Grantsdale, Mont.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
