Jewell Elvira Behl

Jewell Elvira Hunton Collins Behl, 91, a resident of Lincoln, passed away Nov. 4, 2012 in Cane Hill. She was born June 2, 1921, in Cowetta, Okla., the daughter of Robert A. and Elizabeth Hudson Hunton. Jewell was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She was an avid seamstress and flower gardener. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar C. Collins and her second husband, Aaron M. Behl; five brothers, Emery Hunton, Dalton Hunton, Raymond Hunton, Gordon Hunton and Floyd Hunton; and two sisters, Gladys Tincher and Virgie Jones. Survivors include one son, Fred Collins and wife, JoAnna of Prairie Grove; one daughter, Deloris Russell and husband, James of Augusta, Kans.; and one brother, Eual Hunton of Lincoln; one sister, Dora Hobbes of Portales, N.M.; four grandchildren, Ronda Martin, Sheila Paul, Richard Collins and Debra Houser; 11 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the care givers of the Cane Hill Residence for the care given to Jewell. Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m., Friday prior to the funeral. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Luginbuel Chapel with burial in the Beaty Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held at the cemetery.
