Bobby Ray Miller

Bobby Ray Miller, 80, of Bella Visa, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Concordia Health & Rehab in Bella Vista. He was born on May 13, 1932, in Hayti, Mo., to Roy Garvin Miller and Mary Belle Creech Miller. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a pilot and loved his career as an air traffic controller. Family first and foremost, he also loved golfing, dogs and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lloyd and Willis. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Miller of Bella Vista, Ark.; one daughter, Laura James (Andy) of Anderson, Mo.; one son, Phillip Miller (Glenda) of Overland Park, Kan.; and six grandchildren, Amy, Megan, Chrissy, Sam, Jennifer and Amanda. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Coffee and grandpa surprises following the service.
