Robert Michael Schmit

Robert Michael Schmit, 32, formerly of Rogers, died Nov. 1, 2012, in Windsor, Colo. He was born Dec. 16, 1979, in Boulder, Colo., to Michael Schmit and Marianne McCue Schmit. Robert grew up in Rogers, Ark., and graduated from Rogers High School in 1999. Robert had been residing in Windsor, Colo. He enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing, camping, hiking, scuba diving and caving. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, Logan and Trinity. Robert is survived by his father, Michael Schmit of Loveland, Colo.; mother, Marianne McCue and husband, Dale Ridenour, of Rogers, Ark.; son, Logan Schmit of the home; daughter, Trinity Schmit of Windsor, Colo.; grandmother, Marian Handley and her husband, Jerry, of Rogers; grandfather, G.L. Schmit of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Brian Schmit and his wife, Dawn, nieces, Emily, Alyssa and Carly of Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Robert was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert McCue; cousin, Hillary McCue; and grandmother, Darlene Schmit. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rogers.
