Violet Jane Hinkle

Violet Jane Hinkle, 85, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 in Fayetteville. She was born July 19, 1927, in Lynn, Ark., the daughter of Samuel and Savannah Morgan Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl T. Hinkle Sept. 16, 2001. She was a domestic engineer and a car hop at Mel's Diner in San Francisco, where she met her husband, Earl. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Jane Young and her husband, Bob, of Eagle, Idaho, and Tami Jo Hinkle of Fayetteville, Ark.; and a grandson, Joe Young. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at Moore's Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
