Julius Alvie Moody, 86, Clarksville, died Monday, May 28 at his home. Born, December 15 1925 in Heber Springs, Ark. to the late Alvie Vinson and Emma Rachel Varner Moody. Member and a Deacon and Sunday school teacher at Clarksville First Baptist Church. Graduate of Heber Springs High School and 1949 graduate of University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture. A Navy WWII Veteran, a Genealogist, a Live Haul Manager for Swift and Company and Tyson. He loved to garden, bird watch, fish, bowl and travel. A volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He was very devoted to his wife and family. Preceded in death by wife, Edith Marie Edmonson Moody. Survivors, son, Jerry Moody, Fayetteville, daughter, Vickie Estes, Little Rock, brothers, Rev. Owen Moody, Kansas City, Mo., D.L. Moody, Russellville, Charles Moody, South Haven, Mississippi, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Visitation, Thursday 6-7 p.m. at Hardwicke Funeral Home. Services, 10 a.m., Friday, June 1 at Clarksville First Baptist Church. Burial: Oakland Cemetery.
