Thomas Carl Gunter

Thomas Carl Gunter, 62, of Decatur, Ark., died May 24, 2012, at his home. Born Nov. 20, 1949, in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of Ralph F. Gunter and Frances Hopkins Gunter. He was a truck driver for Simmons Energy Solutions. He married Peggy Philpott on April 16, 1977, in Decatur, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Peggy of the home; two sons, Jason Gunter of Gentry, Ark., and Joey Gunter and wife, Kristeena, of Decatur, Ark.; and four grandchildren, Summer Gunter, Jaiden Gunter, Jarrett Gunter and Jakob Gunter. Pallbearers will be Gary Bishop, Bryan Wilkins, Jay Duncan, David Flint, Tommy Turner and Lou Ramirez. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Nick Braschler officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
